Welcome to That’s What She Said Metro East, where extraordinary stories take center stage, bringing together the women and community of Metro East. Join us for our 1st show on April 18th & 19th, 2025!
TWSS show brings together women from the local community to share their stories. Our mission is to bring these stories together into a one night show that fosters a tighter-knit community, amplifies the voices of women in our community, and builds a space where we can be vulnerable, brave, and authentic.
Our Director - Producer Team
Meet the driving force behind TWSS Metro East, Summer Jackson.
Both women are longtime residents of Monroe County — Summer from Waterloo and Andrea from Columbia. Together, they bring their passion for community, connection, and women’s empowerment to 'That's What She Said Monroe County.' Their vision for this space reflects their shared passion for creating an environment where women can come together to celebrate, uplift, and support one another.
As small business owners and mothers, they are deeply rooted in the community, and their love for fostering meaningful relationships is at the heart of everything they do."

That's What Teens Say
At TWSS Metro East, we strive to take empowering women in our community to the next level by giving a platform for the women of tomorrow to share their voices. That’s What Teens Say Metro East is a unique program designed for young women aged 13-18 in the Metro East community, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore the power of their voice, connect with other teens, and get a chance to share their story from the stage for their friends and family.
As we gear up for the next installment of That’s What Teens Say, we invite you to nominate a teen girl in your life who you think would benefit from this transformative weekend. This empowering three-day workshop offers confidence-building exercises, creative writing activities, improv games, and more tools designed to help them realize the power that their voice can have.
